Jason Savino:

Hey everyone, I'm Jason Savino, the Marketing Director for the All American Auto Group. And this is the All American Auto Mall in Old Bridge Updates Podcast. This is episode number 67. I'm going to be going over a couple things today, the biggest thing being our rescheduled date for the Jimmy Allen concert. And then I have some updates with my job role here at the Auto Group changing slightly, so I'll talk about that. So let's start with a couple episodes ago, Episode 65. I talked about our feel better bears program, which is this amazing charity event that we do basically starts in late November goes until about Christmas, where we partner with NJ one Oh 1.5. And we collect new and unused teddy bears or new unwrapped teddy bears or stuffed animals. We have collection bins throughout all of our locations in New Jersey, including multiple boxes here in old bridge and we collect these stuffed animals, they then go to NJ one Oh 1.5 Their headquarters, they consolidate them, compile them, and then they give them to the New Jersey State PBA who then distributes them throughout the state of New Jersey to first responders. So these stuffed animals end up in the first responder squad cars. And then what happens is when they're at the scene of an emergency, and a child is there, they're trained to give that stuffed animal to the child to you know, provide instinct, comfort and relief in that crazy situation for a child, whatever it may be. So I've talked about it in Episode 65 in detail it is going to go on for the next few weeks. So I know we filled up all of our boxes here a couple times over, we have a office or cubicle in our super showroom that's just filled with bears right now that we put from the boxes. So MJ one Oh 1.5 is actually supposed to come today and pick up some so if we get some good pictures of them loading into their van, we'll post those to social media for everybody to see. So there's still a lot of time to donate for that. Of course, we're still doing Toys for Tots throughout our location here in old bridge. And I believe that ends on December 17. So a little bit sooner than the feel better bears ends. So Toys for Tots, so get your new and unwrapped toy in and then we donate them through the older Chamber of Commerce, so and the old bridge business lines. So two great events we're doing leading up to the holidays. We have toys and stuffed animals everywhere throughout our dealership right now. In our middle showroom, it's great. And we will for sure post pictures of it. We've to Rangers right at Ford Rangers basically filled up with toys. And that's only like half of the toys we have in our location right now. So a lot of great donations so far. Our community and our staff have really come together with the donations this year and came through with them big time. Last episode six episode 66. I gave some weekly updates talked about some vehicles that were coming in. So check that out. There's a description of it on our podcast page. So check that out. But the big news today for this episode is that we have officially rescheduled the Jimmy Allen concert for hope. So this concert was this is going to be Jimmy Allen's second concert here in our old bird showroom. His first one was done. It was actually St. Patrick's Day, which I guess was about March 17. I think it was that year, I think it was 2019. And he did that as a deal with us in partnership with us when because we provided him with his first custom lifted ford f 150. delivered it to Nashville, all that stuff. So part of that partnership was that he agreed to come here and do a concert in our showroom. So that was a fantastic concert. It benefited the military, which was great. So that was a really cool concert. Now we had scheduled one in October of this year, so a couple months ago, and it was gonna it's benefiting Javo one of our main charity partners, which is fighting and trying to find a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. And so it was scheduled for October 15 or 17th. It was a Sunday. And I got the call on Saturday morning that the day before the concert from his agent that Jimmy's wife had gone into labor. They were expecting their child that weekend a little bit earlier than initially expected, and that the concert would have to be canceled because he could not fly up to New Jersey. So that was a crazy Saturday for me. And for our staff, I think we had the place ready to go for that Sunday concert. We had to quickly post about it like crazy on social media quickly email everybody who had purchased a ticket. So that was pretty crazy weekend. But everything worked out for Jimmy and his wife. They had the child that weekend. So that was great, great reason to cancel right out of anything that could happen. The birth of a child was blessing. So that's wonderful. So what happened was, after that, we started to plan for a rescheduled date. And Jimmy's agents couldn't really announce it at the time, or really tell me about it. But he was planning his first or he was probably solidifying at that time, his first ever headlining tour. It's called downhome tour. And he's basically doing it starting early next year. And it's going to end about the week of our concert that's going to be now may 15. So Sunday, May 15 2022. So really cool the way the schedule worked out where he's going to be, you know, finish with his first ever headlining tour, and then he's going to come to our dealership, so it's gonna be great stuff. Again, it's still benefiting jar of hope. 90% of the tickets were sold already, obviously, before that day, and then we accounted for some extra tickets that day to be sold day of the event. So 90% of them are sold. And we actually at this point, based on the feedback after the fact, because there's so many people that weekend that we're reaching out for last minute tickets, we actually expect this concert to sell out by the end of this month. So by the end of the year. So we posted about it on our social media pages, the websites the same, it's the old bridge concert for hope, calm, you go there and purchase your tickets, it's a jar of Hope website 100% of the proceeds go to jar of hope. So all American Ford does not get any of the ticket money or anything like that doesn't go through us goes through jar of hope 100% of it goes to them and to fighting this horrible children's disease and finding a cure for it. So go to that website, again, Old Bridge concert for hope, calm. It's a $25 general admission ticket, again, a full donation to jar of hope. And you get to see Jimmy Allen in a very nice intimate setting here in our showroom, limited to 500 people in our Ford showroom. So it's going to be a great event. Again, I do fully expect it to sell out by the end of the year. So you have a couple of weeks. I think this is a great holiday gift if you need any last minute ideas Christmas gift, Hanukkah gift, whatever holiday you may celebrate. So again, only 25 bucks and you get a chance to see Jimmy Allen and you know, he is really hot right now. In the country scene. Obviously he's seen in everything that has to do with country, the Country Music Awards, he was on Dancing with the Stars, obviously. He was at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on a float. So you know, he's all over the place right now. So it's gonna be great. And we hope to see you there hope you're able to get tickets. But definitely don't wait. I know it's planning far in advance. It's a Sunday, it's a weekend in May, you know, buy the tickets 25 bucks before the holidays, great holiday president. So I'll be talking about that more as we get closer, but that's going to be a great event. So that's, that's what I that's what the big announcement was today for the podcast for this week. And then I wanted to talk about me on a personal level. So obviously, I'm part of the family that owns part of the group. So it's the Savino family, my family and then my. So it's my father and he has two business partners to Salomon Brothers. So obviously family owned and operated throughout our entire group. And basically, my role has been marketing director for the whole group. I've been stationed here at our old birch location, and I'm going to continue to be the marketing director. I have a wonderful marketing team below me. They're all they've been stepping up big time and they're gonna continue to step up. I think we're gonna add somebody on our marketing team. And I have been training to become I would say hybrid slash part sales manager. So I'm learning kind of the sales side of it on the floor, that kind of stuff. I did a few weeks at our, at our Ford desk here in old bridge. And now I'm kind of settling in and doing Subaru sales. So super sales manager. So if you know people who are familiar with our dealership, we had Mark Powell who was on the super sad for us. We moved him down to our Point Pleasant location to help with that grand reopening, really, because that's been under construction for a while. So he went down there, he's taken over that. Those locations down there for us the Point Pleasant locations. So the super side is now me, Dave Mitchell. And then of course, Nicole is our BDC manager. So we have a very strong team management team is one of the longest tenured management teams in the industry, in my opinion. I've said that many times on this podcast, a lot of our managers have been here five plus years. So very strong team all around. I think that's what makes us great here. That's what brings the family owned and operated to life a little bit more. And yeah, so I'm going to be digging in more two sales on the front lines here with the customers on the showroom floor. So as I continue this podcast, I don't know if I'm going to change it to once every two weeks, keep it once a week. Just keep it short or something, you know, I'll figure something out. But I think it'll be good because I'll bring a little bit of a different perspective to it. So should be interesting moving forward. So that's all I had for today. Everybody, have a great rest of the week. Great weekend, and I'll be back next week.
