Jason Savino:

Hey everyone, I'm Jason Savino, the Marketing Director for the All American Auto Group. And this is the All American Auto Mall in Old Bridge Updates podcast. This is episode number 62 should be a fairly quick one today just got a couple of weekly updates some things looking ahead. No guest today, no on screen video for anybody who goes to YouTube or Facebook. For this, I am sharing my screen and recording it. So you'll kind of be able to follow along if you do end up watching the video for this. But let's jump into it. So, two episodes ago, Episode 60. My brother Nick, who's the fixed ops director here talked about the current service loaner vehicle situation that was a very, very popular episode, a lot of downloads, a lot of listens to a lot of customer comments after the fact with it too. And obviously Nick and the service team have been doing a great job of handling this change in our process and just the current environment of the lack of loaner vehicles. So go back and listen to episode 60. If you have any questions or concerns about loaner vehicles, as many customers do, because he goes into great detail about what's happening and why. Last episode was a Halloween episode. And I had one of my marketing team associates on mic who we started the episode dressed in costume we dressed as Jason Vorhees, or I did. And then my marketing team Kate, Mike and Nate or camp counselors. So from the Friday 13th movie, so we had a lot of fun, a lot of good content. I'll kind of go over in a second that we've been posting on social media. But that was a great episode, a lot of positive feedback on that episode. Mike did a great job. He has his own podcast. So he talks about that. He has a band, a lot of people are commenting on that and the fact that he opened up for kiss, so a lot of engagement with that last episode. So if you're interested, go back and listen to that. But this is episode 62. Again, it'll just be some weekly updates. So let's start by talking about some of our social media activity the this past week. So obviously with Halloween last week and Friday, you know, we had a lot of our staff dress up and then Saturday on Halloween. or the day before Halloween, people were dressing up as well from our staff. So we got a lot of social media content. I think a lot of great stuff. My team did a great job with it, did a bunch of tick tock videos, took some pictures. So all of that stuff is on social media pages made a lot of fun with it. We tried to keep the TIC TOCs light and funny. So I think we did a great job. One of the TIC TOCs I want to call out we did a video we did a tic toc video a couple of weeks ago at this point, I think now where Angie one of our EDC employees throws a key fob in the air and she catches it but it's off screen so you throw the key fob in the air and then the vehicle appears I guess it's like a tick tock challenge or one of the Tick Tock trends so we did it and tick tock and we talked about this on the last episode with Mike we don't enjoy tick tock as much as some of the other ones it's a good platform for creating and editing these fun videos with music and jumping on trans and getting a lot of views but it's views that are across the country sometimes outside of the country. And it's so just all over the place it's the wild wild west when it comes to comments right so you're getting basically 13 year olds who are just trolls you're getting regular eight trolls I guess and it's just the Wild West and it's a lot of negative people and you know they try and be funny and making negative comments and it is what it is but basically with that key fob video everybody was commenting you know I can't believe you guys through the key fob in the air led hit the ground I can't believe damaged the key fob, all these comments about the key fob which again we threw it up high enough and when we cut the video and edited it where you know she caught the key fob off screen 110% It was a Roush key fob we did not mess with it. We 100% caught it. So in reaction to all those negative comments, you know about us dropping it and accusing us of dropping it and assuming we dropped it because that's all tick tock is it's people that just don't do research and they just make assumptions and they just want to be negative and they want to be trolls but either way so we made a really funny in my opinion. I love it a video of me and my Jason Vorhees costume where I come and I slash at MJ and that's why she drops the key fob so It's kind of, you know, a joke. Clapping back at all those tick tock haters about keyfobs. So we say that that's what's real. That's what really happened that day. So check that out. I give my team a lot of props for coming up with that and the video came out good. So we got a lot of positive reactions from that video, especially on Instagram and Facebook, where people are a little bit nicer slash more understanding than Tik Tok, I'd say probably because they're a little bit older and just less in that troll. mindset, I would say. So check out all that social media content. I did, or yeah, this morning, I posted a picture of a Shelby Mustang Mach EGT concept at the SEMA show. So this week was the SEMA show in Las Vegas. It's a show for all the specialty and custom and outfit vehicles, all the manufacturers go to it. So Ford when they have a good article on their Ford page, with pictures of concept vehicles, and vehicles that they were bringing out to SEMA. So a lot of really cool custom and outfit vehicles. And one of them is, you know, them kind of teasing this concept of a Shelby Mustang Mach-E GT. So it looks really cool. It's got that Shelby spin on it. There's obviously at this point, it's concept. There's no talk of, you know, how much horsepower it'll have or anything like that. But I know when the Mustang Mach-E came out, and there was all that conversation and discussion around the name Mustang Mach-E, and that it was called the Mustang, we internally immediately started talking about, well, is there gonna be Shelby version is there going to be a Roush version, just like there is the Mustang. So it's pretty cool. I think it's going to end up happening. And the horsepower will be interesting because the Mustang Mach EGT is right now 480 horsepower, which is amazing. Especially for an Eevee vehicle, and there's Tesla's out there, obviously, that, you know, go up to 1000 horsepower, I believe. So there's a lot of room here where you know, you can put a show of your Roush spin on it and increase that horsepower significantly, to levels that are just, you know, crazy for people who would regularly buy just like a regular Mustang, or a regular SUV or anything like that, you know, once you get close to the 1000 mark. That's like insane right now, most of our Shelby's and rashes are, you know, in that 700 range, six to 700. So, very interesting stuff from Ford at SEMA. It's always exciting to see these concept vehicles to check out some of those pictures. They do you know, Raptors Rangers. They even did a maverick. Like for street racing. It kind of looks like so it looks pretty cool. It's they call it a hot rod, Maverick. So there's a lot of cool vehicles coming out of SEMA and the show that was I think it was this past week. We actually didn't go last year or two years ago might have been before COVID. We had sent a couple people to SEMA, we sometimes do again, because we're one of the largest Roush Shelby dealers, I've actually never been, I would love to go which is not one of the conferences that I typically go to, for our group. So usually it's my father's business partner likes to go and then we usually sound like a service manager, or somebody who's in charge of customisations it throughout our group. So those are the type of people that you should go to that but I would love to go to one of those events from a super standpoint, because again, where the All American Auto Mall and old Virginia we have Ford Subaru as US you Jerden and blue advantage certified used vehicles on the Super side this month, from November 1 to November 18 is Subaru loves to help so it's one of their loves, of events and we were lucky enough to get a whole bunch of blankets and socks donated that we donated to the SRB Help Center in Freehold so we helped them out been working with them for years now. They're a great organization that really helps out other local charities in need of stuff like that. So I know the blankets got donated and we got some good pictures of it. And then we just sent them a few boxes of donated socks for homeless shelters so that was a great event by Subaru and then on November 18 starts super share the love which we're partnering again with jar of hope for so we always look forward to that event every year. That's a great event. We're doing Toys for Tots this year again, so we're gonna have the Toys for Tots box donation boxes throughout our auto mall probably talk about that more next week. For that we're working with the old bridge police department and collecting some toys for them to hand out and then we're also collecting for just the the Chamber of Commerce serving old bird safe Ville in South Amboy. So I'll be talking about that more and more as we get to it. And then just to wrap up this episode looking at the calendar month of November and what we have, so tomorrow, Saturday, November 6, we have Rutgers game day. So where I'm actually sending my marketing team Kate, Mike Na, and then Angie from our BDC department, all four of them are going to be there at the Rutgers game at the tailgate party in the parking lot before the game starts. So far, the plan is unless they sell today is to bring the Scarlett night Mustang, which is beautiful red and black Mustang worked out perfect that we have it for this game back. And then I think we're going to be able to send a four door Bronco. So they'll set it up nice there, we're gonna have a ton of giveaways to really cool stuff on there's going to be some photo contests that we're going to run while there as well. Again, the opportunity is going to be you know, a small number of entries, and you're going to be able to win great prizes. I think we have an autographed football from Coach Shanno I think we have an autographed basketball from the coach of the men's basketball program at Rutgers. We have tickets to a game later in the season. So a lot of cool stuff that they're going to be giving away. And then also some fun contests that they'll have at their booth for giveaways later on through social media. So definitely visit the Rutgers Game Day booth that we're going to have there, check out the vehicles to her to the marketing team. That's hopefully going to be the Weather's supposed to be nice. So hopefully going to be a nice and warm day. I think it's supposed to be in the 50. So maybe a little chilly, but should be a great day for rockers tomorrow and our presence there. Then on Sunday, it's in New York City Marathon. So jar of Hope made a big push for that this year like they always do. So we wish all the runners through jar of hope the best of luck. Shout out to my two sister in laws who are running in the New York City Marathon for jar of hope. They raised $10,000 For John Hope to join their team and run in this marathon. So good luck to them. Then next week, and I'll probably talk about it on next week's episode we'll say but it's the Baltimore Tosho. So it's one of the biggest tow show conventions in the United States in Baltimore, the Baltimore Convention Center. And we're going on basically we have all American Jordanne here in old bridge. We are actually the number two ranked Jerden distributorship in terms of sales in the entire country. So big news for us with we found that news out early October, that's the Jared and fish school year it goes from October to October. So we're number two in the entire country. So obviously, our journey in tow truck business is gigantic here in old bridge. And we're going to be we have a booth at that Baltimore tow show we're going to be bringing I think four or five tow trucks going to be a gigantic show for us really important. We are hosting a customer appreciation cocktail party, Saturday, November 13, down in Baltimore and one of the hotels right nearby. And I think actually me and my brother is going to go down and attend that cocktail party. Again, it's a customer appreciation party. So that should be a lot of fun, I'll probably do a recap of that. We're going to try and hit the toe show that day as well. So again, a big event for our dealership, all American Jerden Old Bridge, and that should be a fun time down in Baltimore. And then towards the end of the month, you get into the holidays of Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are not really what they used to be especially in the car industry. You know, with lack of inventory and stuff as it gets closer, I'll talk more about kind of the how this is so different than previous years with November and December with the inventory issues going on. So I'll talk about that more later in the month. But we got a pretty packed month, a lot of cool upcoming stuff. And like always follow our social media pages. You'll see any new vehicles incoming on our websites and we'll be back next week.
