Jason Savino:

Hey everyone, I'm Jason Savino, the Marketing Director for the All American Auto Group. And this is the All American Auto Mall in Old Bridge Updates Podcast. This is episode number 54. It's gonna be a quick one today just gonna recap the Xavier McKinney autograph signing, talk about some upcoming events. And also I want to bring up that we got in our first Mustang Mach-E GT, and it's on our showroom floor as of this morning. So we posted some pictures of it. So I'll talk a little bit about that. Last week, for Episode 53, I talked about some Ford news, they came out with some cool stuff and cool new trim levels of packages for upcoming vehicles that pay homage to some heritage vehicles. So I discussed that in the last episode. And then I announced that we're going to officially be a Rocky Ridge, and Black Widow or SCA performance dealership. So we ordered a few Rocky Ridge f 150s, and a few blackwidow F 150s. They should be coming in we think probably at this point towards the end of November, maybe. But I'll continue to update folks on that. So that was a cool thing that we announced last week and got a lot of positive feedback on social media from it, a lot of people reached out and said specifically that they can't wait to see the Black Widow f150. I know I think I talked about on last episode, but actually my development, somebody has a bright red, GMC, Black Widow truck that looks really really nice. So can't wait for those upfit and performance companies to do their spin on the f150 and those vehicles to come in inventory. So that's gonna be fun. So let's get on to the recap of the Xavier McKinney signing. And if I mentioned that I'm going through pictures. There's a video portion of this podcast that is posted on our YouTube pages. And I'm sharing my screen right now my computer. So that's kind of what I'm going through if I referenced that, but Xavier McKinney is the safety for the New York Giants. He was a early early second round draft pick in 20 2036. Overall, out of the University of Alabama. And basically, his agent have reached out to us a few weeks back maybe a little bit longer, basically, you know, I guess he had heard the Pete Alonso radio spots that we have going on. As everybody should know because I mentioned all time to the podcast we have to deal with Mets first baseman Pete Alonso, where we give him a vehicle for the season. And you know, he's basically an advocate for the dealership. So I guess examiner McKinney's agent had heard this radio ad and it's Xavier is from Georgia. So you know a lot of these athletes need vehicles for the season. They try and partner with dealerships we try and make ours a little bit more special than just giving the vehicle to a player. And then that's it. You know, we we've so many opportunities with these players that we try and kind of pick and choose. You know, and I'm not blowing smoke I've gotten so many offers, especially since the Pete Alonso deal from agents in this area from all sports, that you know, we've had to turn down a lot of them because of inventory issues, which is unfortunate. But basically we're able to kind of handpick the players that we work with. We want to work with folks that love Fords and that you know get excited about working with us. And initially you know, Pete and Xavier now the same thing. They love the fact that they got that it was family owned and operated and that they got to work directly with me and my brother, both of my brothers really Chris Savino who's the general manager, so he worked directly with him on the vehicles themselves. And then Nick and our service department, he handles, you know, our customizations and stuff like that as well. So, you know, they love the family owned and operated aspect. They love that we have all the locations throughout New Jersey, just our sheer size and our kind of our good status within the communities and within Ford Motor Company, obviously with all the awards that we win, and our rankings and stuff. So as Xavier was a great example of somebody who really wanted to work with us, he was excited about it. He loves vehicles, loves custom vehicles. And basically, you know, when we looked into him, he just seemed like the right fit for us. Just a really, really nice guy. Great social media followers. thing you know, he's very into fashion. He posts a lot about that post a lot about the Giants obviously, and his teammates and stuff like that. So I think it was a really good fit. So we made the deal. He's getting a Mustang Mach-E, just like Pete Alonso. He wanted it wrapped in this really nice light gray satin wrap that kind of looks like a matte finish the official colors called frozen silver. So there's pictures of it on social media. He was thrilled with it. He thought it was really, really cool. So that was great. And part of the deal with Xavier, he was excited to do it, which we loved was an autograph signing. So this past Saturday, Saturday, September 4, he came to the dealership for a few hours, very nice shows his off day. It's the weekend before the NFL season starts, which starts tonight. And so he was nice enough to come down for a few hours. Spent a little bit extra time here then, you know, we initially thought which was great. He was amazing with the fans. But basically, you know, he came and spent about an hour filming. In our conference room upstairs, we got a lot of good video footage, radio ad recordings. And then he signed a ton of autographs for us, for our staff and for customer giveaways moving forward. So we have a ton of really great content and then also giveaways for customers. So basically, what we're going to try and do is if you come into our service department or our sales department in a giant Scherzi throughout the season, you know and do business with us, you know, you're going to get a free Xavier McKinney autograph, so don't be afraid to ask for it. We have it out on the desk as well at the front desk. And that's just a giveaway, you know, if you didn't get a chance to come to the autograph signing, and you come in in a giant Scherzi. So that's, that's exciting to begin with. And then basically, we had him scheduled for just one hour of a quick autograph signing again MCs day off. On a Saturday, middle of the day, he had to squeeze this in to get down here. And he ended up staying for two hours made sure every single fan got an autograph. It was just fantastic. Just a really nice guy really down to earth. Very, very humble. You know, me being a big fan of the Giants. I was talking to him a lot while he was signing the autographs in the conference room. We had a lot of really good conversation. You know, I never felt like he was just this big shot athlete or anything like that. Very similar to how I felt about Pete Alonso to which I loved because I was a huge Pete Alonso fan before we even got this opportunity. With Xavier, obviously I knew about him at Alabama, big college football fan. Alabama always has an amazing defense. So I knew about him coming out of college. Obviously, I was stoked when the Giants drafted him. I really had high hopes for him thought he was going to be amazing. His first season unfortunately got injured for half the season. But then when he played he was amazing. And a lot of analysts are picking him to be a breakout star this year. And I agree with that. So I think we're getting them at the perfect time as well. So it was just a lot of fun talking to him about the season. You know, he was he he had the perfect answer for everything. I was really trying to grill him. And I you know, jokingly apologize. So afterwards I said, I know you can't answer these questions. But I was trying to grill him on like, say Kwan Barclays injury update. I was trying to grill him on how he feels about the season, how he thinks they're going to do. And you know, like all athletes or coaches at this point, they can't give anything away. So he was kind of giving generic answers. But he was very nice about it. We were joking about it. It was it was just a lot of fun. So then he started signing autographs for fans. I have all the pictures on social media. He had a ball with it, which was great. Tons of fans showed up. I was honestly surprised. Like I said, we booked it for an hour. We expected you know, maybe on a Saturday afternoon, the week before the season, maybe maybe 50 to 100 people. And we were shocked because it was an IT WAS A noon signing. And by 930 I'm not even joking. There was a few fans that showed up at 9:30am and said where's the line? And we were like, we're still kind of setting up here. Like we didn't expect anybody to get there before like 11 so it was nuts for people to show up a few hours early to it, which it was great to see was just surprising for us. So it was funny. We all had a good laugh about it. But yeah, the line started forming, you know, got really big around 11. So people just came out early, they're waiting in line. You know, obviously we did our best with COVID protocols. So they were outside it was a little Sunny, you know, we were handing out water bottles. Everybody was very, very nice about it very understanding of the situation. You know, we couldn't have everybody just kind of packed inside especially, you know, as a busy Saturday that, you know, we had a lot of regular customers here for vehicles so people were very Understanding, we did have a mask mandate, it was requested by Xavier's agent for the purposes of the NFL, and you know, pictures getting out there. So everybody wore masks again, everybody was very understanding. It was one of the better events in terms of I heard zero complaints that day, I only heard positive feedback. And then so far in social media, I've only heard positive feedback. So that was really encouraging. I was very happy with that very happy with the turnout. The line was actually absolutely huge wrapped around our entire Subaru building and went down towards the side of our building. So like I said, Xavier was nice enough to stay for the entire two hours. and made sure every single person got an autograph. And then he ended up staying a little bit after that, and really wanted to check out some of our cars. He was very interested in our Roush Mustangs or Shelby GT 500 that we have down here. So you're just kind of walking around interacting with our staff as he was walking around looking at the trucks and the vehicles, still interacting with fans at that point. So I was very, very impressed with how he handled himself how much class he had, and how interacting he was with the fans and the staff here. So I have only nice things to say about Xavier again, it was it was an amazing experience. One of the pictures, I want to call out this one, so there was a lot of cool stuff that fans brought, a lot of people came out in their giant skier. So we have a lot of cool pictures of the line. And it looks, you know, really cool with all the giant stuff. But this one fan brought a helmet. That was honestly it's the biggest helmet I've ever seen. It's got to be 10 times the size of a regular football helmet. It's just this gigantic bright blue giants helmet. And he had Xavier sign it and Xavier actually posted about it on his social media accounts, saying that, you know, is the biggest helmet he's ever seen and the biggest thing he's ever signed, so check out the photos of that it was wild to see that I've never seen anything like that. And believe me I've been to a lot of these autograph signings and I'm very big into memorabilia and stuff and that was just on my anything I've ever seen. So that was really cool. Something else to point out with the fans and some of the memorabilia they brought there was a lot of there was a lot of Alabama stuff which I was a little surprised about just because of this region but you know we're far away from University of Alabama but I guess a lot of people from New Jersey in New York do go there but a ton of people had you know Alabama mini helmets, Alabama footballs, Alabama jerseys events, so a lot of University of Alabama stuff. And just a lot of cool stuff from the fans very creative. And a lot of kids came out which was great. Xavier was nice enough to take pictures with basically any fan that suggests it but you know, I know he took a lot of pictures with the kids and stuff. Again, everybody was amazing with mass and stuff. So that was really appreciated from you know, our staff from exhibitors agent just as a request for the NFL. And again, I don't have anything nicer to say or anything like that. It was just such a good event and IG Xavier, which is such a great guy. So we're rooting for him hard this season, obviously and like I said, we're going to have the autograph giveaways throughout the season here at all American Ford and old bridge. Moving on the the vehicle that came in this week that drew a lot of attention. It was actually just yesterday and we got it on the showroom floor right away posted pictures this morning is our first Ford Mustang Mach-E GT. And this one's all wheel drive too. So this is the highest trim level of the Mustang Mach-E the all electric SUV. This gt model comes with 480 horsepower. So this thing, this thing really moves. I've talked about it before on the podcast, I was blown away with the Mach-E to begin with. I love driving it I took one of the initial ones we got back months ago now I took home for the weekend. And I was shocked with driving it and how smooth it is how comfortable these electric vehicles are. And really just the power. And I took a lower level trim, you know way less horsepower than this GT. But just the power and the acceleration from it was just such a difference from these gas models that we've had. So I love the Mach-E I love driving it, I didn't get a chance to drive this gt one yet. And like I said, it's on our showroom already. So the next one that comes in, I'll definitely take it for a spin to see the difference in the horsepower but 480 horsepower is a lot. This model definitely competes with some of the higher end Tesla's in terms of that horsepower. And I'm sure it's just extremely exhilarating to drive and when you step on that gas Or I should say about electric pedal. In the CVS, you can't really call a gas pedal, right? You know, you're gonna go, you're gonna go quick, you're gonna go instant. There's basically, you know, just right away instant torque, because there's no engine, there's no pistons to kind of get going. So just a beautiful looking vehicle. The interior of this one's really, really nice too. It's this black is black material, kind of a mix of leather and cloth it looks like and then it's got this really nice copper, basically accents and stitching, and just different copper lines throughout the entire interior. So looks really really nice. In person, this red really pops. Just, it just looks really shiny and clean. The exterior colors called rapid red. So this is the Mustang Mach-E GT, our first one in on our showroom floor call for pricing call for availability, we don't expect this one to last that long, we do have a few more GT Mustang Mach-E GT, I should say, coming in. Over the next couple of weeks, we believe a couple of them are sold orders, but a couple of them will be for stock as well. So check back we will post when we get more in. And you could always call us up to try and get a better idea of eta even though those are hard to come by nowadays, with Ford and with the inventory of the way it is just to go over events real quick, coming up. So and I'll talk about these more as we get closer. But next week. Next Thursday, we have our f150 mafia barbecue tailgate party for the New York Giants. First Washington we'll be rooting on Xavier, of course. So that's Thursday night, the game starts at 820. We're telling people start to show up around 730 we're gonna have a cornhole tournament set up that somebody could win a free 50 inch television. But basically, you know, if you own an F 150, you know anybody that owns an F 150 come down Bring family of you know, free food, obviously free viewing of the game, it's going to be outdoors, a huge blow up screen. We've never done anything like this in our parking lot. So it's going to be a really fun event. So that's next Thursday, my next podcast, I don't know if I'm going to do it the morning of that event. Or if I'll wait until Friday the 17th and talk about the event and recap it so I'll see. But I might not be able to talk about this event more because the next episode might be after it. So go on our Facebook page, read about it more reach out to me if you have any questions, but hope to see a lot of people there that should be really good event. Then we have our pet adoption event coming up in October, Saturday, October 9. We have Jimmy Allen concert coming up Sunday, October 17. And then I'll talk about it more when I get closer. But I just announced that earlier this week, we're going to have a first look at the all new 2022 Ford Maverick hybrid. It's coming to the dealership for a Ford training session on Monday, October 18 at 11am. So it's going to be outside of our dealership. A lot of people have reserved it and ordered it. So those folks are definitely welcome to come and encourage you to come check it out. You'll get to see it in person for the first time get to really get an idea of the size of it. You could look in the interior Unfortunately, because of COVID protocol with Ford Motor Company and the Ford training program. They can't let customers sit in it and they can't let customers test drive it yet. So this is more just you know, a first look sneak peek. If you cannot I know it's a Monday that's you know, we had nothing to do with the scheduling it was Ford Motor Company in the training program. So I know it's a Monday but it is kind of during lunch. So if you're interested in Ford Maverick hybrid, you can shoot over take a look at it, get to see it for the first time in person at least. Like I said, the biggest thing is that you'll get an idea of the size of that. So that's the episode this week and I'll be back next week.
