This episode recaps the Bronco Road Show Event that took place Thursday, April 29th, 2021. The event featured two of the all-new, full-size 2021 Ford Bronco 4-Door SUVs. One was a Badlands edition and the other was a Black Diamond with the Sasquatch Package. There were four Ford Motor Company Bronco Specialists here providing personal walkarounds and even demonstrations for taking off the doors.
I'm Jason Savino, the Marketing Director for the All American Auto Group. And this is the All American Auto Mall in Old Bridge Updates podcast. This is episode number 35. Like I've been doing, I'm doing a video as well as the audio for the podcast. So you could always watch these episodes on social media, on our Facebook and YouTube pages, where you'll be able to see kind of what I'm taking people through and what I'm discussing, sometimes they bring a picture, stuff like that. So for the video watchers out there, let me share my computer screen so you could start to show you guys some stuff. I'm gonna move my video out of the way for now. But basically, this is Episode 35. So, Episode 34, I did on the Ford GT supercar, which our Auto Group has three of them. I talked about how our black and red one is currently available for immediate purchase. You know, with the two year for the holding period for those. We have that black and red one here in our old bridge location. It got a lot of attention yesterday for the bronco roadshow event. So that's Episode 34. The episode before that I discussed and had a guest from Rutgers athletics on Mike JV Assistant Director of Development for Rutgers athletics. That was a great episode, a great interview and back and forth that me and Mike had a lot of interesting stuff if you're into Rutgers college athletics in general, and a lot more we discussed. So let's jump into this episode, Episode 35. This is going to be my recap of the bronco roadshow event which happened yesterday. Today is Friday, April 30. So we had our Bronco roadshow event yesterday, which was Thursday, April 29. And then I'm going to just end the episode with some events to look ahead to mostly around our main charity partner jar of hope and some of the stuff we're doing with them. So I'm going to bring up for the folks watching some pictures from the event as I kind of discuss it and go through it. So basically, Ford and I had talked about this in previous episodes leading up to it, but Ford Motor Company had a team of four Bronco specialists that brought two of the all new full size for door Broncos with them. And basically they put them on display customers have to register because of COVID guidelines and protocols. And customers can walk around them. They got a demo from the bronco specialists, they got a personalized walk around. Obviously they answered any and all questions from the customers and the customers got to sit in them. They had demonstrations where they took the doors off, which was great. So it was a really cool event, I think did really well. One of our better turnouts for an event like this, you know we have the marquee activation event last year. It did rain for a lot of that day. And it was more towards the height of COVID. Last year, so a little bit less of a turnout. But the excitement level around this Bronco has been insane for years now ever since it was announced that it was coming back and this was the customer's first chance to really see it in person. A lot of our staff as well. This was the first time almost all of us have seen it in person. I know like my father and I have seen it at like Florida events recently but that's really it. So it was really cool. They brought a silver one which was the Badlands edition. And I'll go over the the trim levels because there's a lot for this Bronco model in a couple seconds. But it was a bronco for door with the Badlands trim level it had a soft cover top, the doors come off obviously, it had some accessories in terms of different bumper different grille. And that one was actual actually manual, which is pretty interesting that these common manual because that pays homage to the old school Bronco that was in manual. And we actually had I think 10 to 15 customers over the past year or so order manual transmission for this Bronco so I was a little bit surprised by that. So that was one of the ones they brought. And it absolutely looked beautiful. The silver color was amazing. I know one of our employees who has a bronco order, I think had black or white, and they changed their color for their order to silver because they like the color so much and how it looked. And then there's this really nice dark blue one. That one was the Black Diamond trim level and that also had the Sasquatch package, which actually adds the bigger wheels. So it's 35 inch. These all terrain, or mud terrain wheels is a little bit the Sasquatch package is a little bit more for off roading, so it's got different or better shock absorbers, higher clearance, stuff like that. So that was the blue one that was brought. And that's the one that the bronco specialist team did the door removal demonstrations on which was actually really cool. And for one of them, I went Facebook Live from our company page, all American Ford and old bridge, the Facebook page, and then we post it to Instagram as well. So if you want to actually see somebody physically take the door off, they did the demonstration there. It was this young lady Margo. She was one of the bronco specialists, she was fantastic. Very easy, she literally gets it off in like two minutes. And, you know, you can see from the picture on the screen now you'll see in the video, if you watch it, it's not that heavy should easily pick it up herself comes in a nice carrying case that you you use to kind of take it off. So there's no damage. It's, it's really, really nice, the way they thought of everything. And they made it easy for customers. And that was one of their big things with the bronco to compete with the jeep. Because a lot of customers with the Jeep, you know have complained over the years about how hard it is to get the doors off how long it takes. And also that there's no storage for them. So with this Bronco, there is storage for them. And they make it really easy. So that was a cool part. They did that demonstration a few times throughout the day, the customers loved it. So that was really cool. And just to kind of touch on the trim level. So the bronco has seven different trim levels. So I'm showing it on the screen again, if you're watching the video of this, but there's the base level, Big Bend blackdiamond. So that was one of the ones we had Outer Banks Badlands that was the other one that we had wild track. And then first edition is the highest trim level. And first edition, there's only like 3500 of them being made. It's very exclusive, they sold out like instantly, they're just going to be sold orders. I don't think we're getting any of those for stock really. So a lot of different choices. And that's what we went over with the customers and we had a table set up for accessories that the bronco team brought as well. There's just so many different options with these Broncos and so many different things you could do for it is very proud of how they made it modular and how you could, you know, do all this different stuff with it and really make it your own. So that was a big part of the roadshow as well kind of showing off the different accessories the different customizations you could do. And all the different options really that are available. Like I said, the blackdiamond one that was here have the Sasquatch package, which comes with a whole bunch of different customizations and things like that. So back to the event though, from the trim levels. Basically, I booked some food trucks. So that was very exciting. I feel like you can't have event now without food trucks there. So we had and I wanted to give a shout out to these folks because I really didn't give them too much warning for this event. So they came through big for me. So cousins Maine lobster came. It was the food truck, in my opinion that was made famous from Shark Tank, had everybody talking for a while, you know years ago when it first aired. And we know the owners of this food truck. They're out of freehold very nice people. They bring their lobster truck here to have service done on it because we have one of the largest commercial truck service departments here. So we service their lobster trucks and they come and park here every once in a while on random dates, just to draw on some traffic from route nine and for our employees obviously. So they came they were a big hit. Everybody loved them as we always do. So thank you again, because it's been lobster I recommend people looking them up on Facebook and you can kind of follow where they're going and where they're going to be. But they do events like crazy. We have the friendlies ice cream truck which was great the friendlies is right down the block from us on Route nine here on old bridge, very friendly with them and their owners. So they come through for us and they brought their ice cream trucks so attendees had some ice cream, so that was nice. And then for the dinner slot we actually had a new food truck for the first time ever come here it was called let's have a ball. They do rice balls and Italian ice. Really interesting stuff. The owner john was a great guy. He was blasting Italian music the whole time. You know, you would never think of rice balls. I'm telling you nice to be in the same sentence or let alone the same food truck. So that was very popular with the staff and the attendees of the event. So thank you, john. Thank you, let's have a ball. look them up on social media. It's a great truck, they do festivals, they do catering, really unique stuff. I had a buffalo chicken rice ball, which was incredible. So really good stuff all around from some of our vendors that helped out mainly the food trucks. And then the last thing I wanted to touch on with the event was that at the end, or towards the end, I should say, a gentleman came with a really old school Bronco, if you see the picture, and I posted it on Facebook and Instagram, and it's in the video that I'm showing here now, he brought this really old red Bronco and he asked if he could put it side by side with the newer Broncos and take a picture when the bronco crew is gonna leave. So I'm really cool shot we got of his old Bronco with the two new Broncos on the side. So that was a nice thing we got to do for the customer. And then of course, he allowed us to post on social media. So pretty neat picture there that I was excited to get. And like I said, I think all the customers and attendees had a really good time. Everybody talked really positively about the bronco. Everybody thought it looked awesome. They liked the inside. Everybody who sat in it said it was you know, very spacious, very comfortable. One of one more interesting thing to note too was that there was a Jeep driver who came, we saw his jeep pull up and he was actually wearing a Jeep shirt. And he had registered to check out the bronco. He's thinking about switching over to it. So I talked to him, there's actually two Jeep vehicles that came at the same time to look at the bronco. But one of the guys I kind of got to talking to as he was getting checked in. And he said that he was considering ordering one, you know he read a lot of good things about it, you want to check it out. And once he did, I think he was blown away by it. He was very impressed with you know, the job for did with it. And I think he's gonna switch over to it. I think he ended up placing an order for the 2022 model. So all around good stuff, I'm very happy with how the event turned out very happy with how our staff, you know, set up for it was there to support the whole day. It's a huge undertaking events like this, you know, you want to make sure everything's as perfect as possible. And we had probably over 150 people coming and going throughout the day because we ended up having about 170 registrations for the event with a limit of 20 per hour. So throughout the day, I'd figure you know, we had at least 125 to 150 people coming. So again, hats off to the staff, thank you to everybody who attended. Everybody was great. Everybody was respectful, very positive. So worked out really well. It was great. So moving on to just some upcoming stuff that I wanted to mention mostly around your hope and they are our main charity partner. So right now going on for them is the spring forward for Kia virtual 5k. There is a link to the registration page, there's a bunch of different registration levels, it's all donations, it all goes 100% to jar hope and supporting the cause this virtual 5k ends may 9, so there's still time to get in. So I recommend checking out the registration levels, registering for one of them and having a good time with it. The next event for job hope after that which we're really excited for is Jim's celebrity boxing match. And if you're watching the video, he's got to actually update this banner because it got moved up a day. So it's now Friday, June 11. It was originally Saturday, June 12. But now it's it's Friday, June 11. And he's going to be fighting in a celebrity boxing match in Atlantic City at the Showboat hotel there sponsorships and tickets available still for that. So check that out if you're interested. And then really cool. I talked about it briefly on one of my previous episodes, but he's trying to put together this million dollar drop golf ball drop, where you pay $1,000 for a golf ball, they put a number on the golf ball, and then they take all the golf balls up in a helicopter, drop them over a golf hole. And then whichever one goes in or lands closest to the hole is going to win all the prize money. It's 5050 obviously so he's trying to do a million dollar drop where the winner would get 500k and then 500k would go to jar hope so really unique idea by Jim and jar of hope. I always love the creative marketing stuff they come up with and this one could be really, really cool. I know he's already sold a bunch of golf balls and you know, he's really gonna go after companies to get involved with this. And I think you know, nationwide he's going to sell Because this is this is a really cool opportunity to donate $1,000 to a great cause and have a chance to win, you know, close to half a million dollars potentially depending on how many balls they sell. So check that out again, you could find all of these links and any more information, mostly on his gemorah phones, Facebook page and the jar Pope Facebook page, and also their website jar pope.org. So that's all I had for today to talk about and we'll be back next week. Thanks everybody. Americans
