Hey everyone, I'm Jason Savino, the Marketing Director for the All American Auto Group. And this is the All American Auto Mall in Old Bridge Updates podcast. This is episode number 34. I'll quickly recap what happened on our last episode, and I'll spend this episode talking a little bit about the Ford GT supercar, a little bit about the history talking about the one that we have. That's on sale right now that just got the old bridge and some helpful information around that because customers have been asking about it like crazy, obviously, it's gotten a lot of attention. So just like last episode, and the one before that, as well, I'm going to do a video portion of this for social media. And then also, obviously, the audio portion can be found, wherever you listen to your podcast, I'm just going to move myself off of my first screen there, and the folks watching the video on social media can see the full screen. So let's start with a recap of last episode. I had a wonderful guest on Mike g from Rutgers University. He's the Assistant Director of Development for Rutgers athletics, it was a really, really cool chance to speak with him and to hear about Rutgers athletics, their sports programs, how they're on the rise for sure how successful they've been recently, he talked about his trip to Indianapolis for March Madness. So check that out. Again, the video portion of it is on our social media pages. showing on the screen now is the teaser that we post on Instagram, or that was Episode 33. So you can find that wherever you listen to your podcast. So this is Episode 34. And I'm gonna be talking about the Ford GT as I mentioned, there's a beautiful picture of it up there on the screen for anybody that could see but I just wanted to take people through a quick history of it. Again, we're getting a ton of questions on this from customers right now. It's very popular, it just arrived here in old bridge from our Paramus location. So our auto group as a whole back in 2017 2018, we got three of them, because of our size and our standing with Ford basically. So we have three 2018 Ford GT supercars. And because of Ford rules, because you know that keeping the value up, and there's a bunch of different reasons for their rules they have, but it's a two year holding period, so we aren't allowed to sell it for two years. So the very first one we got in which I'll show you in a second in the video, is a 2018 Ford GT dark energy edition. It's this beautiful black and red gt that actually arrived here first out of our three GTS and is now on sale for immediate purchase. The other two GTS won't go on sale actually until later this year. So let's talk about the history of it real quick. Basically, in and the best way to kind of see this, and again, I don't know how historically accurate it is. I've read that at a pretty pretty much is but they just made a movie about this Ford versus Ferrari within the last couple years, and it was pretty good. I watched it actually for the first time couple weeks ago, I definitely recommend it's worth the watch kept my interest the whole time. great actors, very cool story. But it basically tells the story about how in the early 1960s. Ford really wanted to get into long term races, specifically the 24 hour race, one of the most famous ones in the world. So they built a supercar that was called the GT 40. And it won that 24 hour race with the infamous 123 finish in 1966. That's what the movie Ford vs Ferrari is based on. And they actually want it the next three years. So they were winners from 1966 to 69. It was a huge deal because they finally be Ferrari who was kind of the king of that type of racing back then. And cool backstory about how you know Ford tried to buy Ferrari and there was insults on both sides, I guess. And then Ford made it a goal to win that race. So that Gt 44 winning that race is very, very famous, obviously. Very well respected in the racing world and old car collectors and all that stuff. So basically, fast forward to the early 2000s and Ford wanted to kind of bring it back and pay homage to it. And it was coming up on their 100 year anniversary as a company. So they set out to produce the first generation of the Ford GT. So they dropped the 40 in the name. So it used to be the GT 40. This was the Ford GT. That's why it's considered the first generation from 2004 to 2006. And, you know, there's a heritage edition within that, that, you know, looked like the original Gt 40. And between those years in 2004, and to that to 2006, there was a little bit more than 4000 produced. So very rare, very exclusive, very limited production. I actually remember when my father had the dealership on Long Island, because that's where we're from. I've talked about our history before on the podcast, but obviously family owned and operated my father owned a small Ford dealership on Long Island for many years, before we purchased Oasis Ford here in Old Bridge and moved here. And that was back in around 2009 2010. So in the early 2000s, when this first generation Ford GT came out, my father got one from the dealership, and I remember, you know, all the mechanics came to look at it, everybody's all excited about it, I was working in the prep department at the time. So I was with the mechanics, you know, in one of the bays there, I would clean vehicles. That's what the prep department was. And I remember just the excitement around it, I'll probably never forget that day, you know, we got it in, I actually got to sit in it, it was just very cool is the coolest vehicle I've ever seen up until that point. So um, you know, that was big in the early 2000s. And then basically, they stopped production or halted production. After those 4000 were sold. We actually had a cars and coffee last year where two customers brought their first generation GT, so that was cool to kind of see them still out there. But basically, now fast forward to around 2017. The second generation of the Ford GT was announced it was actually announced in 2016, at an auto show, as part of the 50 year anniversary of winning the 24 hour race in 1966. So initially, Ford announced that they would produce 1000 Ford GTS as part of the second generation over the next four years. So from 2017 to 2020. But you know, a few things happened. And they realized that demand for it would be way higher. And if you think about it, you know, compared to the first generation where they built 4000, this time around, they only announced they were doing 1000, so they cut production by 1/4, it was going to be very rare and exclusive still obviously is but they did increase the production by 350. So a total production for this generation is 1350 vehicles, and they stretch the production to the year 2022. I think some of that had to do with, you know, when COVID started and the production shutdowns and stuff like that, I think that threw a wrench into the plans in 2020. I think it started before that I think there was delays in production for various reasons. So I think that's why they extended and stretch the production. So basically, it's going to be 1350 vehicles produced over the over the six years of the second generation. So it's going to stretch into 2022, which basically means anywhere from 200 to 25 will be produced each model year. So again, very, very exclusive, very rare. Our Auto Group has three of the 2018 Ford GTs. So again, there's for that model year, I think there's actually less than 200 that were produced. So just an awesome, awesome vehicle to have an A true supercar. So basically, I'm showing on the screen now, one of our Instagram posts recently that shows the Ford GT here in Old Bridge. So we were storing these GTS in our old Lincoln of Paramus dealership up in North Jersey, because we had sold Lincoln of Paramus last year still had access to the building. And that's where these were stored, obviously. You know, they were showroom kept and everything like that. So never driven as well. recreationally. So it went it was delivered from Ford. It actually came with six miles on it and now it has 6.1 miles. So obviously he's never driven, literally just in and out of the showroom, basically. So it got brought down here last week. The staff I'm crazy here for it, there was tons of people out taking pictures of videos of it, you know, we obviously got it off the trailer and got it into a new room that we had built here in Old Bridge. For anybody that's been here, we had a kid's room here. And we actually move that upstairs and we created kind of like a nice display room, it's it's barriers off, so people can't just walk around it and touch it and stuff. So that's where our Ford GT is, like I said, it's a really, really nice shadow black color with a red racing stripe, it's actually got the rare dark energy interior upgrade package, so makes it a little bit more exclusive even than the regular Ford GTs. And then it also has an exterior carbon fiber package. So basically, this Ford GT is going to stay here until it's sold, obviously. And then we have the two other ones that come on sale later this year. This one, the 2018 model year has 647 horsepower, it has zero to 60 in 2.9 seconds, it has a top speed of 217 miles per hour. And it weighs just over 3000 pounds, which compared to the Ford F 150, which is closer to like 5000 pounds. It's all about aerodynamics, and racing and stuff. So now on the screen, I'm showing the three Ford GTS that we have as an Auto Group, so the black and red one is on sale. Now, we also have a red and white striped one, and then a yellow with a black stripe, you could check out this page that I'm looking at in the video screen at a EF customs calm. That's our custom inventory and specialty inventory website. So you can check out those pictures. And like I said, the black and red one is the one that's on sale now. So if you have any questions at all about this Ford GT, or you're interested in purchasing it, or potentially know somebody who is obviously send them our way, we've got them. Not many dealerships in the United States have these. And like I kept saying it's extremely rare and exclusive. So moving on from Ford GT, just to bring up some of the stuff that came in the last couple of weeks. You can see on the screen for everybody watching the video that we've been posted a couple of things. We've done a couple tiktoks with our custom inventory specialists, Virginia, we have the Ford GT there. And I wanted to call out obviously, we're getting closer to our Bronco roadshow events. So it's Thursday, April 29, from 10am to 6pm. It is a registration and invitation only event. So you do have to register there is a maximum amount of people that can register per hour, a couple of the slots have already filled up. But there is still some available slots open mostly during the day during like a nice lunch break. So if you're out there working, have lunch break, want to come check out the only Broncos definitely register. It's going to be a fun event. I have already booked the cousins Maine lobster truck to come during the day for lunch. And we're trying to get a food truck for the evening as well for coverage for food. But that's going to be a great event. So hope to see everybody out there for that one. I'll be there. And I'll probably be outside for most of the day with that one. And then I wanted to also show a post from yesterday. On Wednesday, I took this and posted about it. There's this new color for the Mustang Maki, it's called space white. I was obsessed with it. That's why I post about it. And I'm excited to talk about it but it looks great. It's a really sleek color and it looks really good on the Mustang marquee. And of course I get to show him that Instagram posts our cutout of Pete Alonzo because he's a proud driver of the Mustang Maki from us. So I never try and miss an opportunity to mention our partnership, brand new partnership with Pete Alonzo. So that was very exciting. And we'll continue to come out with some cool content around that as the season goes on. So that's it for this episode. I hope you enjoyed it and we'll be back next week where everyone can afford
